Hosting

This website is operated on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in a data centre in Nuremberg; data is processed exclusively in Germany.

The hosting provider is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably.

Server log files

Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically records information transmitted by your browser:

• requested address and referrer URL
• browser type, browser version and operating system
• date and time of the request
• status code and amount of data transferred
• shortened IP address (the last digits are removed before storage)

This data serves the technically error-free delivery and the security of the website, for example to fend off attacks. It is not combined with other data sources. The log files are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set cookies. If you select a contact button on a product page, the selected product is stored in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) so that the contact form can preselect the matching topic. This entry does not leave your device, is not transmitted to us and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.

This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

Contact form

When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide: name, organisation (optional), email address, selected topic and your message. The data is transmitted in encrypted form.

Your enquiry is forwarded immediately by email to the responsible contacts at adesso SE and is not stored on the web server. We use the data exclusively to process your enquiry and for any follow-up questions.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to take pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling the enquiries addressed to us effectively (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing it no longer applies, for example once your request has been fully handled. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Enquiries by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including any personal data it contains, is stored and processed in order to handle your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. The legal basis and storage period are the same as for the contact form.

TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect confidential content such as your enquiries, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Legal bases and storage period

If your data is required to perform a contract or to take pre-contractual measures, we process it on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. To fulfil legal obligations, we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Processing may also be based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We state the legal basis applicable in each case in the relevant sections.

Unless a more specific storage period is stated, your data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies. If you submit a justified request for deletion, your data will be deleted unless there are other legally permissible reasons for storing it, such as retention periods under tax or commercial law; in that case, deletion takes place once these reasons no longer apply.

Recipients

We only pass personal data on to external parties if this is necessary to perform a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so, if we have a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or if another legal basis permits the disclosure. Where we use processors, we do so on the basis of a data processing agreement.

Your rights

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If you have consented to processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

If processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Art. 21(1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing for this purpose; this also applies to profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. After an objection, your data will no longer be used for direct marketing (Art. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. This right exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Objection to promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of contact details published in connection with the legal notice obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.
